Hello Craigslist good day to everyone out there I hope everyone is staying cool please read this full description before you call
Let me start off by notifying everyone this is private party sale not a dealership so no payments no layaway LOL
I'm selling this 2002 Toyota tundra it has the 3400 V6 engine which was built to be bulletproof has automatic transmission with overdrive runs and drives excellent reliable and dependable no warning lights or codes no leaks that I'm aware of the truck only has 145,000 all original miles
And if you look around most work trucks of this era have at least 200,000 miles and mostly all of them are V8 some of them don't even have working AC I've done some looking around on Craigslist it's not easy to find a full size long bed pickup truck with a V6 engine
And I also want to mention there are definitely not a lot of full size tundras with a small V6 and a 8-ft bed with this kind of mileage up for sale all the ones I saw were at least 220,000 miles if not more the very few tundras I found were pretty beat up didn't even look presentable and people are asking ridiculous prices since used trucks are high in price right now and especially if it's a Toyota because people know they are built
Just last week we had the injectors cleaned out replaced the spark plugs coil packs and wires found out it needed an oxygen sensor which was $200 alone so we replaced that as well also replaced in the serpentine belt at the same time I think considering the mobile mechanic and all the parts I spent around probably $1,000 to make this thing reliable for its next owner so it does run really well
Last year it got a brand new radiator water pump and thermostat it also got a new battery and the tires are a year old as well and they probably have 70% of their tread life left the engine runs smooth and solid the transmission shifts perfect brakes are great no check engine lights no warning lights or codes no major mechanical issues they were all taken care of it just needed basic maintenance for its age a few things needed to be done and they have all been taken care of so mechanically the truck needs nothing
It does need a tailgate handle I was quoted $80 at Napa Auto parts or you can buy it online for $30 if you're willing to wait to get it in the mail but the tailgate will open and shut
Freezing cold it has manual windows and door locks has an old aftermarket CD player has tilt wheel a bed liner a husky diamond plate tool box that's only 2 years old and when it was new it was around $300 it has its original locks and keys and goes with the truck
Cosmetically the interior is decent and very clean no cracks in the dash or nothing like that everything is pretty solid the exterior had some chipping clear coat which I touched up myself so she definitely won't win first prize at a beauty pageant LOL
But at the end of the day this is a full size Toyota pickup truck with a 3.4 l V6 engine that runs amazing it has low mileage for the age and the air conditioning is ice cold this is a great everyday driver or workhorse if you're looking for anything more than that please move along to the next posting
Every full size truck out there is a gas guzzler most of them are very high in mileage and right now they're very high in price
This truck has a clean clear private party Florida title in hand no reconstructions leans salvages or accidents and I'm asking $4,800 firm
If you think this is a lot for a 20-year-old truck take a look at the 250,000 V8 gas guzzlers with busted dashboards no AC and a rough looking bodies going for $5K or more
Just to give you an example there is a similar truck posted on Craigslist in our area I believe it is in Lehigh acres it has 265,000 MI it's a V8 with bad interior and the guy is asking $5,900
There's also one in Naples which is similar to this one it looks a little better his truck also has the V6 but he has 270,000 mi on his truck and he's asking $5,500 so for $4,800 bucks you won't find a better workhorse they're asking prices firm looking to sell this weekend cash only it's a great reliable truck it's not easy to find something with low mileage feel free to bring your computer scanner or mechanic to help you look at it I'm confident in this truck these Toyota pickups last forever
